Mission
MSOE-SHPE
strives to empower the Hispanic student body at the Milwaukee
School of Engineering to realize their potential by providing resources,
awareness, support, and development. As a chapter of the largest
Hispanic professional society in STEM, we have a unique opportunity to
boost Hispanic voices in the industry and enable growth through
training, mentorship, and programming for all members. We continue to
work toward higher retention and recruitment of Hispanic students at
MSOE and the STEM field as a whole, as well as foster and maintain
strong relationships with industry partners such as Brady Corporation, CLARIOS, GE HealthCare, HNTB, Milwaukee Tool, Rockwell Automation, and Walbec Group in order to cultivate a foundation of
professionalism and expertise for MSOE's Hispanic student body. Together with professional societies such as the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), we continue to provide unity to the Hispanic population at MSOE.
Vision
SHPE's vision is a world where Hispanics are highly valued and influential as the leading innovators, scientists, mathematicians, and engineers. We envision a future where Hispanic professionals are fully represented across all stages of STEM careers—from education and early career development to executive leadership—and where diversity is embraced as a driving force for innovation. Through academic excellence, community support, and strategic partnerships, SHPE aims to break down barriers, close opportunity gaps, and inspire the next generation of Hispanic leaders to shape a more inclusive and impactful world.
