About SHPEtinas
SHPEtinas is a committee within SHPE dedicated to creating a space where students can connect, support one another, and grow throughout their time at MSOE. Open to everyone, it fosters a strong sense of community through shared experiences, collaboration, and engagement. SHPEtinas also encourages leadership within STEM by creating opportunities for members to develop their skills and confidence. Through these efforts, it helps lead the way for future generations to thrive and succeed in their fields.

Mission
SHPEtinas focuses specifically on affirming Latina representation in STEM and the greater community. We aim to uplift our members and provide them with a community that supports them throughout their time at MSOE, so they can step into their careers feeling confident, prepared, and empowered.
Vision
SHPEtinas supports SHPE's national vision of a world where Hispanics are highly valued and influential as leading innovators, scientists, mathematicians, and engineers. SHPEtinas contributes to this vision by building a future where Latina voices are represented, recognized, and empowered in STEM.
